First and foremost, the government of Israel has not only the right, but the duty to respond to destroy those terrorists responsible for the unprecedented Isis-style terrorist attacks on October 7th.
Those of us committed to a peace for Israel and Palestine must advocate for just means. To quote Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "The means represent the seed and the ends the tree."
We are asking Israel for an immediate, temporary ceasefire to allow for the safe evacuation of civilians.
