Indieling is a music web application which utilizes the excellent Jamendo API and displays and plays tracks from independent artists. The app gives you the opportunity to browse, search through and play albums, tracks, artists and filter them based on popularity over various time spans. Play any song with a click or add an entire album to your listening queue.
As I had already worked extensively with React/Redux and the router in the past, content display and navigation was familiar territory. The challenging part of building this application was the music player and the queue which required dealing with the state and actions more intensively. It was a rewarding process which made me even more familiar with the ins and outs of Redux.
Who doesn't love pizza? Based on the user input of any major city/country in the world, this React/Redux application displays a list of the best pizza places in the nearby area, all sorted by rating. Clicking through to an individual venue allows you to explore photos and reviews as well as a map and further information such as opening hours to help you with your decision of where to dine.
