On May 15th, I graduated and officially became a Duke alum. For my friends and me, graduation weekend was full of sappy reminiscing, discussing future plans with every single adult we ran into, taking way too many “candid laughing” pictures in front of the iconic Duke Chapel, and maybe most importantly, eating our last meals at the places that have become so engrained in our daily schedules.
My older brother and sister hadn’t been down to Durham since they helped move me in my freshman year, so to say they were excited to try all of the restaurants I’ve been raving about, both on this blog and in person, is an understatement. I had to make sure to give them the real Bull City Bite in their short 3-day visit.
We had dinner at Lucia to kick off the weekend, and the meatballs, crushed fingerling potatoes, and various pastas (I got sweet potato gnocchi and my sister got Cacio de Pepe spaghetti) were all huge crowd pleasers.
