ARTISTS MAKE SPACE is an international collaboration between Britto Arts Trust, Tara Theatre and the British Council that fostered the pairing of seven Bangladesh-based artists with seven UK-based artists from various walks to connect and co-create new multidisciplinary works together. A mentorship program by seven mentors from the UK and Bangladesh (Jennifer Tang, Clive Lyttle, Uzma Hameed, Jaspreet Kaur, Dhali Al Mamoon, Mahmudul Hussain, Salauddin Ahmed) for the seven pairs of artists was organised durin
Artists Make Space was commissioned by the British Council to nurture the collaboration and co-creation between young Bangladeshi and UK artists and to commemorate British Council’s 70 years in Bangladesh.
After touring London, Birmingham and Manchester in the UK with Tara Theatre in October, the exhibition is touring to Chittagong, Sylhet and Dhaka with Britto Arts Trust in November and December 2022. The curators of the exhibitions are Natasha Kathi- Chandra from Tara Theatre in the UK and Mahbubur Rahman from Britto Arts Trust in Bangladesh.
