Ardwick & Longsight Food Bank is an independent food bank that can provide free food parcels for people in need. We rely on generous donations from individuals and families in the local community, churches and businesses to provide most of the food we distribute .
As well as providing a few days’ of food to meet the immediate crisis, we hope to point clients to other agencies that can help them find the way through their difficulty. We try to work in cooperation with other local agencies and food providers so that people are accessing help close to where they live.
In addition to the basic food bank provision of tinned and long life foods, we often have fresh vegetables, fruit and baked goods available on site .
