Apple-picking Robots is a turn-based API based game where multiple robots are placed in the same arena, and allowed to move and plant apple trees. Over time, trees grow yielding apples which score points for the planter of the tree. When trees are planted too close together, their growth is stunted.

Some game mechanics will change from event to event, to ensure that finding some old code online isn't an instant win at a new event. Things like changing the maximum move every turn, the growth rate of trees, the number of turns, or allowing robots to cut down competing trees really change optimal strategies.
