The Angola 3 continue to stand up to injustice in the US legal system and call for an end to the use of solitary confinement in US prisons and for the release of other political prisoners who are unjustly incarcerated.

For over 40 years Albert Woodfox, Robert King and Herman Wallace exposed the segregation and violence in Angola Prison in Louisiana USA.Targeted for their activism as members of the Black Panther Party in the 1970’s they then endured a combined total of 114 years in solitary confinement.

King was released in 2001. Wallace passed in October 2013 a week after he was released. Woodfox was released in February 2016 after serving 44 years in solitary confinement and passed away in August 2022.
