Andrew Charalambous is first and foremost a passionate environmentalist. Andrew says “Mother Nature is the soul of the Earth, our landscapes and countryside our greatest national treasure”. He argues that ecological responsibility includes not only the physical environment but the animal kingdom and our relationship to both.
As pressure to build on the countryside is growing to satisfy our insatiable demand for more housing Andrew asks “when our countryside and forests are radically diminished where will we get our oxygen to breathe from?”.
Being the national housing and environment spokesman for UKIP Andrew is campaigning for a brownfield revolution to preserve the British countryside. His hope that this pioneering brownfield model which comprises brownfield bonds, removing stamp duty from new homes emanating from brownfield will be followed in other countries.
