I specialize in interest-driven Making and Tinkering activities, environments, and communities that nurture the learner’s curiosity.
In collaboration with Aarhus Public Libraries, the Interacting Minds Centre at Aarhus University, and Studio Olafur Eliasson, I lead practice-based design research to develop activities and environments that invite collective creativity .
Through running the Scratch online community, designing learning through play experiences in LEGO House , founding the LEGO Idea Studio , and co-developing the vision for the Scintillae Research Atelier in Reggio Emilia, I have broad experience in the design of environements and activities to support interest-driven learning.
