The AAZ is committed to achieving the highest levels of animal husbandry and the most effective public education techniques among our member institutions. We are dedicated to the conservation and protection of wildlife both in the wild and within zoological settings.
For our member institutions to provide the best possible quality of life for captive wildlife, to provide meaningful and impactful education to zoo visitors, and to ensure that substantial funding derived from public visitors is used in effective in situ wildlife conservation efforts.
