As many of you know, the AFGE, Local 2883 vs. CDC FLSA settlement distribution has gone through a few changes over the last few months. Because Local 2883 is committed to providing fair representation to all our Bargaining Unit Employees (BUEs), after many discussions, reviews, and meetings, we decided the best way to move forward is to return to the initial distribution plan. The change is in light of certain information and misunderstandings that have been brought to our attention.
As a result, those BUEs who CAIG previously notified and told they were eligible for payment from the settlement and then subsequently told the distribution is on hold will be able to accept and receive their initial amount. On or around September 1st, 2021 you will receive an e-mail from Class Action Implementation Group (CAIG), with log-in instructions detailing the steps needed to claim your portion of the Settlement Proceeds. You will have until December 31, 2021, to accept your individual allotted pay
