The Academy of Dance and Art studios are located in Rhino House Karen Road and Allamano Center Consolata Shrine Westlands both within Nairobi County, Kenya. It was founded by its owner and executive director Pernille Duckworth in 2009 aiming to provide Kenya’s residents with the same opportunities as South African, European and American counterparts. The Academy of Dance and Art also offers variety of dance styles and other disciplines in performing arts which include contemporary, modern ballet, jazz, tap, ballroom, hip-hop, voice lessons, piano lessons, guitar lessons and musical theatre class. The school also offer sports/fitness activities like gymnastics, zumba, pilates, yoga, and martial arts including karate-do and taekwondo. The Academy of Dance and Art is owned and managed by Executive Directors Ms Pernille Duckworth and Ms Juliet Duckworth -ARAD (Co-Artistic Director of ORIGINS ) and is currently guided artistically and academically by our faculty team; Ms Nadine Riehl (RAD Registered Teacher, ISTD, CDTA) Ms Rachel Kinyanjui (RAD Registered Teacher), and Mr Arnie Umayam-ARAD (RAD Registered Teacher, Co-Artistic Director of ORIGINS ).
